Changing the PayPal account that you have linked to your Ibotta account is easy! From within the Ibotta app, you'll be able to remove a linked payment method and then add a different one.
If you use an iOS device, please follow these steps to remove a payment method:
- Tap Account on the navigation bar.
- Tap Withdraw Cash towards the top.
- Swipe left (drag your finger from right to left) on the payment method that you wish to remove.
- Tap the red "Delete".
- You will see that the previous payment method has been removed.
If you use an Android device, please follow these steps to remove a payment method:
- Tap Account on the navigation bar.
- Tap Withdraw Cash towards the top.
- Tap and hold your finger on the payment method that you wish to remove.
- Tap "Delete".
- You will see that the previous payment method has been removed.
As a security measure, Ibotta will expire the connection between any payment accounts that are linked to an Ibotta account every 90 days. This does not affect any earnings that have been transferred from the Ibotta account to the payment account, it simply resets the connection between the two. Shoppers simply need to follow the steps to re-link their payment account to their Ibotta, and can withdraw once more.
