Opt-in to SNAP Rewards
First, submit a receipt through the Ibotta app using a payment method of SNAP or EBT. Then, on the latest version of the Ibotta app, opt into the program by navigating to your Profile > Settings > Preferences and toggle on the "opt in" next to SNAP Rewards. Once you're opted-in, you’ll need to re-qualify every 6 months and the app will share instructions on how to do this.
Restrictions
Please note, SNAP eligibility can't be verified with linked loyalty accounts or receipts for retailers where the barcode is scanned, because the payment method is not captured. This includes:
- Walmart
- Allen's Grocery
- Grand Central Apple Market
- Super Saver
- Russ's Market
- Festival Foods
- Super One Foods
- Marc's
- Rouses
Fortunately, these retailer restrictions are only for determining initial eligibility. If a store accepts SNAP, it can still be used as a payment method to earn cash back. Any additional offers will have any restrictions outlined in the Offer details.
