Redeeming offers with a loyalty account is a bit different than sending a receipt through the Ibotta app.
This means that instead of taking pictures of your receipt and sending them to Ibotta for review, your receipt information is electronically sent to Ibotta by the retailer.
NOTE: Not all retailer loyalty programs are supported at this time. If you view a particular retailer's page, you will see either "Connect [Retailer] Card" or "Link [Retailer] Card" at the top of the page if their loyalty program is supported.
Use the steps below to ensure you receive credit for purchases made through a supported loyalty program.
- Start by connecting your loyalty account to your Ibotta account.
- Before you go shopping, add all of your offers to your account.
- When you are ready to check out at the store, scan your loyalty card or provide your phone number at the register.
- Ibotta will electronically receive your purchase information and will match your offers to the items you bought. This process takes up to 48 hours.
NOTE: If your loyalty account becomes unlinked at any point, you will not receive offer credit unless you relink your loyalty account prior to shopping. Unlinking often occurs when changing the password associated with your loyalty account.
You will not receive a pending notification like with normal receipt submission. If you do not receive a receipt notification at the end of the 48 hours, please write to us so our Care team can assist you.
