This is a challenging time across our country, and across the world. Our communities are dealing with an unprecedented public health challenge, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19).
At Ibotta, our mission is to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. We do this by helping savers earn cash back on everyday purchases. Now more than ever we believe this mission is of paramount importance, as it will help millions of families increase their ability to buy more food and essentials.
I wanted to personally reach out to you with an update on the actions that Ibotta is taking to support our communities and help prevent the spread of the virus.
We have been in steady communication with our brand and retail partners, working closely with them to ensure we continue to offer the most financial rewards in grocery and retail. Whether you are shopping at the grocery store, ordering items online, or receiving your contact-less dinner delivery, we want you to know that you can count on Ibotta during this time.
Beyond delivering financial rewards on essential purchases, we believe public health is paramount. To that end, we have taken the following actions:
- We have asked our employees to work remotely and eliminate travel. Our Ibotta team has been working for weeks to ensure that this transition to a remote work culture has no impact on your Ibotta experience.
- We’ve also asked all our employees, and members of our community more broadly, to adopt the social distancing and other guidelines provided by the CDC, including diligent hand washing, maintaining 6 feet of distance from others, avoiding any gatherings of greater than 10 people, and to the extent possible, staying put in our homes.
We encourage you to take this responsibility to our communities seriously and do what you can to help. While you may be healthy and at limited risk, others across the country may not, and our combined efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus could allow our healthcare systems and communities to be better prepared.
