Apple devices with facial recognition (no home button/finger ID button)
- Open your phone to the screen you wish to take a screenshot of

- Press the power button (right side)
- While still pressing the power button (right side), press the top volume button (top left side)
- Release your fingers at the same time and the screenshot will be saved in your phone’s photo album

- Press the volume down button
- While still pressing the volume button, press the power button
- Release your fingers at the same time and you'll hear a camera shutter sound
- Your screen will flash and the screenshot will be saved in your phone's photo album

Mac laptop or computer
- On your Mac, press Shift-Command-4 (or use Launchpad) to open Screenshot and display the capture tool
- Click and drag the box to select the portion of the screen you wish to capture

PC laptop or computer
- To capture your entire screen, select the Print Screen (sometimes labeled PrtScn) key
- Your screenshot will not be saved as a file, but it will be copied to the clipboard
- You'll need to open an image editing tool (such as Microsoft Paint), paste the screenshot in the editor, and save the file from there

When should I use a screenshot?
