Ibotta is FREE to use, however, fees must be applied to inactive accounts. Inactivity fees are administered to accounts that have a balance but have had no activity for over a year.
Activity equates to completing a redemption of an offer and receiving credit for the offer. Inactivity equates to the duration of time since your last completed redemption. When 12 months of no completed redemptions on your account passes, your account will become inactive. If you want to keep your balance and you do not want to receive an inactivity fee, complete a redemption for ANY OFFER in the app and your account will become active again.
If you have a balance in your inactive account, an amount of $3.99 will be deducted from your account on a monthly basis until the account reaches zero. You will not be directly charged any fees to your personal bank account.
Ibotta will reach out to you a few times before your first inactivity fee is applied. In most cases, this will be an email to the email address that we have on file and a push notification to your device. If your email is incorrect or you do not have Ibotta on your device, you may not receive this notification.
