You will now be able to choose where your earnings go - it's all about whether you add offers in Ibotta or Walmart.
How it works:
If you want cash back for milk to go to your Ibotta earnings, not Walmart Cash, add the offer in Ibotta, not on Walmart. When you submit your receipt to Ibotta, that’s where your earnings will go — to your Ibotta account!
Regularly shop at different stores other than Walmart? Ibotta gives you the choice to keep all your store rewards in one place. When you earn with Ibotta, you have Any Brand offers, Any Receipt offers, and bonuses to make every purchase rewarding.
Please keep in mind, you will only receive cash back for an offer once, even if it is available on Walmart and Ibotta.

Q: Can I use both Ibotta and Walmart Cash programs?
A: You can use both apps! Where you add your offers (Ibotta or Walmart) is also where your cash back will be kept. If you are a Walmart customer and you happen to add an offer for a product on both Ibotta and Walmart, the cash back will go to your Walmart account.
Note: Your Ibotta cash back earnings can be reversed for offer items also redeemed via Walmart Cash.
Q: Why did I get cash back in my Walmart account when I added the offer in Ibotta?
A: If you find your cash back in your Walmart account instead of in your Ibotta account, that means you added an offer for the same product in both accounts. When you add the same offer in both places, you’ll get your cash back in your Walmart account.
If you want the cash back added to your Ibotta earnings, link your Walmart loyalty account with Ibotta, and be sure to only add that offer in Ibotta.
Q: If I add the offer to both Ibotta and Walmart, why does the cash back go to Walmart?
A: You will only receive cash back on a product once, and we’ll always automatically add it to Walmart before Ibotta if you are a Walmart customer. If you want the cash back added to your Ibotta earnings, please be sure to only add that offer in Ibotta.
Q: Will redemptions on my Walmart account count towards Ibotta bonus progress?
A: No, offers need to be redeemed through Ibotta in order for them to count towards Ibotta bonus progress.
Q: Does this impact other ways to save with Ibotta at Walmart?
A: No, this will only impact your Walmart Cash earnings on manufacturer offers for Walmart pickup & delivery or in-store purchases. You can still buy Ibotta gift cards for Walmart purchases or get a percentage cash back when you tap Shop on the Walmart.com retailer page.
Q: Why do I see different offers across Ibotta and Walmart if they are powered by the same system?
A: Offers are available based on the type of offer. For example, Ibotta has Any Brand and Any Receipt offers that aren’t available for Walmart Cash.
Q: Why do I see the same offer at different offer amounts across Walmart and Ibotta?
A: Ibotta has offers that provide you with a shopping experience that matches your preferences. Because of this, we can't guarantee that specific offers (or amounts) will be available to every Saver or across every reward program. There will be times when an offer amount or requirements to earn on Ibotta will be different from an offer on Walmart.
Q: Can I still submit receipts to Ibotta for offers available at Walmart without linking my account?
A: Yes! You can still submit Walmart receipts to earn cash back on Ibotta. Add your offers within the Ibotta app. After you shop and have your receipt from Walmart, simply submit your receipt pictures to Ibotta. Keep in mind you will only receive cash back for an offer once, even if an offer is available in both Walmart and Ibotta for earning.
Q: Can I use paper coupons in addition to digital offers on Ibotta or Walmart?
A: No, you can only get cash back for a product once. If a paper coupon is for the same product as a digital offer, you will only receive the paper coupon discount.
