We made some updates to how you get cash back from Ibotta Care — here's what's new
Sometimes, we need to manually add cash back to your account. This might happen for various reasons, like if you had an issue redeeming an offer or qualifying for a bonus.
When we do this, you'll see a notification and a new transaction on your Earnings page. |
Eligible cash back
When we manually issue cash back for an offer you're eligible for, you'll receive a notification letting you know of the update and your earnings will also reflect this change.
You'll also notice that the notification and transaction on your Earnings page will indicate that the offer cash back was applied to the original retailer where your purchase was made.
This means you can now easily see which retailer the manual adjustment is for. Even better, any eligible offer cash back we provide will also update your bonus progress helping you reach your bonus goals faster! |
Courtesy cash back
There may be times when you contact us and we determine you aren't eligible for cash back. In some cases when this happens, we will manually issue cash back as a courtesy. You'll still receive a notification letting you know of the update and your earnings will also reflect this change.
You'll also notice that the notification and transaction on your Earnings page will indicate that the courtesy cash back was applied by Ibotta.
Unfortunately, when you receive courtesy cash back from us, it's not eligible to count toward any bonus progress.
Online shopping cash back If you receive manual cash back from us for an Online shopping purchase, it will also look like it's from Ibotta. We're not able to associate it with a retailer just yet — we appreciate your patience. |
