Ibotta uses your location to keep you up-to-date on nearby offers! For example, we use your location to send you a notification when you're shopping at a store with available offers — that way you'll never miss out on cash back.
At Ibotta, we respect your privacy and your right to decide whether to share your location. Please follow the instructions below to update your location-sharing preferences in the Ibotta app on your iOS or Android device.
To opt in or out of Ibotta sending you notifications based on your location:
- Tap the Profile dropdown menu on the top left corner of the home page
- Tap Settings, then Preferences
- Under Push, toggle Nearby Offer Alerts on or off
To update your location sharing preferences on an iOS device:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Privacy, then Location Services
- Choose Ibotta, then select “Always,” “Never,” or “While Using”
To update your location sharing preferences on an Android device:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Location
- At the top, turn "Use Location" on or off
