What kind of payment methods can I use?

Can I apply my Ibotta earnings toward a gift card transaction?

Yes! You are able to apply your earnings at the "Review" section of your purchasing process. If you wish to use your Ibotta earnings, simply toggle the button labeled "Apply Ibotta earnings".

Please note that there are minimum amount requirements for applying your earnings to a gift card. We currently do not allow the option to use only a portion of your earnings unless your purchase amount is less than the amount of cash you have. You may use both your earnings and a debit card for your gift card transaction.

Why can't I purchase a gift card using a credit card?

Unfortunately, credit card fees are quite high. Therefore, in order to continue providing great rewards when purchasing a gift card with Ibotta, we currently only allow debit cards as a payment method.
