Finding your Private Relay Apple ID email address
If you use Apple to log in to Ibotta, you may have created an account using your Private Relay Apple ID (Hide my email). If you're having trouble finding the hidden email address you have used with Ibotta, it may be linked to an encrypted email address. It will look similar to this, "abc123@privaterelay.appleid.com".
Finding your hidden email address from your iPhone
- Go to your iPhone settings and tap your name
- Tap Sign-In & Security
- Tap Sign in with Apple or Apps using Apple ID
- Tap Ibotta
- Find your hidden email address under This App Received
Finding your hidden email address from your desktop or laptop
- Log in to appleid.apple.com
- Go to Sign-In & Security
- Click Sign in with Apple
- Click Ibotta
- Find your hidden email address under Hide My Email
Signing in
When signing in to Ibotta with your Apple ID, hiding your email address can cause a variety of connection problems, like being unable to update your email address or receive our verification emails. We recommend that you choose Share My Email when logging in with your Apple account.
If you accidentally choose Hide My Email and are encountering account issues, you will need to revoke access, log in again, and choose Share My Email.
Updating Account Information
If you created an Ibotta account using Apple, you can update your account information in the app.

How to reset your Apple ID connection
To reset your Apple ID account connection with Ibotta, you will need to revoke access to your Apple ID, either from your iPhone or MacBook.
Revoke access from your iPhone
- Go to your iPhone settings and tap your name
- Tap Sign-In & Security
- Tap Sign in with Apple or Apps using Apple ID
- Tap Ibotta
- Tap Stop using Apple ID and Stop using
Revoke access from your MacBook
- Go to System Preferences and click Apple ID
- Click Sign-In & Security
- Click Sign in with Apple or Apps using Apple ID
- Click Ibotta
- Click Revoke access to your Apple ID
