Missing some money? Still waiting for credit? Where's my cash back?
If you are missing cash back from an in-store offer, please check the following:
- Have you tried claiming your missing cash?
- When did you submit your receipt?
- Is the retailer eligible?
- Is your account linked?
- Did you use a coupon or another digital rewards platform?

Have you tried claiming your missing cash?
If you submitted your in-store paper receipt and are missing cash back, you can claim the missing cash and submit products to Ibotta in the app. You can claim your missing cash once per purchase within 7 days from the date printed on your paper receipt.

If the product is accepted, offer and eligible bonus cash back will be added to your Earnings. At this time, you cannot claim missing cash for receipt submissions that require a barcode scan, or loyalty transactions. |
When did you submit your receipt?
Sometimes, it can take up to 72 hours to get your cash back after you have submitted your receipt or completed an in-store loyalty purchase. If it's been less than 72 hours, you should be getting your cash back soon. Cash back timing is subject to change.
Is the retailer eligible?
Cash back for in-store purchases is limited to retailers that are listed within the Grocery category of the app. Retailers that are not included in the category do not qualify for cash back. Navigate to the Grocery category of the app from the Shop by category menu on the Home page to see the list of eligible retailers.
Is your account linked?
If you are missing cash back for an in-store loyalty purchase, make sure your retailer account is linked in the Ibotta app under the correct retailer. You can verify if an account is linked by following the steps below:
- Tap the Profile dropdown menu on the top left corner of the home page
- Tap Settings
- Tap Linked accounts
Here you can view all of the accounts currently linked to retailers within your Ibotta account. Please keep in mind, that some retailers have In-store and Online retailers. If it applies, make sure the In-store retailer is linked for Grocery offers.
If the retailer is not linked, follow these steps before making your next purchase:
- Navigate to the Grocery category or search for the retailer on the Home page
- Tap the retailer
- If given the option, tap In-store for Grocery offers
- Tap Link account, and follow the instructions
Did you use a paper coupon or another digital rewards program?
Some Ibotta offers have restrictions that will not allow them to be combined with paper manufacturer coupons, paper coupons, or other retailer digital rewards while shopping at Walmart, Dollar General, and Schnucks. If you want the cash back added to your Ibotta earnings, or to qualify for an Ibotta bonus, please do not use a paper coupon for the item added to your list.

Please verify that the purchase met the requirements and that the item purchased qualifies for the offer. You can confirm this by reviewing the Details on the offer page.
You can find the offer page by following the steps below:
- Search for the retailer on the Home page
- Tap the retailer
- If given the option, tap In-store
- Find the offer from Your list or search for the offer by tapping the magnifying glass on the top right corner of the retailer page
- Tap the offer
- Review the Details or tap Check product barcode to verify offer eligibility
